You probably aren’t aware of just how quickly babies can change and grow. In the beginning an infant is a single celled organism and within a very short time it is a living being with a heart, lungs and a brain. In just forty short weeks they go from those few cells to living creatures who are able to live on their own. Personalities and decisions begin being made almost immediately after birth. Things like moving on their own, needing help with diaper changes and even how they learn to speak are pretty commonly understood. Read on to learn something new about babies and young kids. By the way, remember to study up on ways to stop bed wetting!
Usually, by the time a woman realizes that she has missed her period; her fetus’s heart is already working. A heart only needs twenty one days to form and begin beating. This is usually when most women find out that they are pregnant. If there was ever a marvel about babies it would be that it only takes three weeks for biology to take a couple of individual cells, join them together and form rudimentary organs that start to fully function. Doesn’t it blow your mind that the foundation of the heart that you have now only took a few weeks to make?
Before they are born most infants are able to understand and recognize different songs and music types. By thirty four weeks of life the baby is able to recognize different songs. This is about six weeks before the baby is due to be born! Some babies even pick up on the beat of a song and move around to it! Your baby has definite tastes and preferences even before he is born! Isn’t that amazing?
Experts agree that too much mercury is terrible for pregnancy but there are some forms of fish that are mercury free and eating them is a good idea. You’ve probably already had several people, including your doctor, recommend eating salmon because it is mercury free and contain a bunch of other stuff that is good for you and your baby. There are experts out there who believe that eating fish while she is pregnant can help a mother improve the function of her baby’s brain and that will help her child develop superior communication skills later in life-more so than those children born to mothers who did not eat fish. This theory is still just that: a theory, so do not beat yourself up for neglecting your baby’s brain if you don’t eat fish, can’t eat fish or simply haven’t eaten that much fish during your pregnancy.
There is lots of baby knowledge out there that is not well known. You would think the opposite would be true since so many adults like to do research when they don’t know something and take so much pride in their knowledge.
The best way to parent a baby is to arm yourself with lots of knowledge about childhood development. Go to it! Last but not least, be sure to read this excellent bed wetting info. Highly recommended.
